Short description

It is believed that people come to Yaroslavl to see ancient churches and monasteries. However, life does not stand still! More recently, a modern landmark appeared in the unofficial capital of the "Golden Ring" of Russia - a 22-storey high-rise Ferris wheel.

General view of the Ferris wheel

Thanks to the new attraction, tourists can find themselves 65 meters from the ground and see from a height all the old buildings of Yaroslavl. The Ferris wheel isn't just for fun. There is an audio guide inside the cabins, so travelers have the opportunity to take a sightseeing tour of Yaroslavl.

The wheel makes a full revolution in 10-15 minutes. Picturesque domes of ancient temples, Yaroslavl streets, a beautiful valley of the Kotorosl River and green spots of parks and squares open from above. The circular panorama is impressive.

It is interesting to ride the Ferris wheel both during the day and in the evening. In the dark, spectacular dynamic lighting is turned on here.

Useful information for tourists

The Yaroslavl attraction is equipped with air-conditioned and heated cabins, which are decorated in the style of the popular Golden Ring route of Russia. Each of them can accommodate 6 people, so you can ride the Ferris wheel with the whole family or with friends. Four VIP-class cabins have increased comfort, and two have wide doorways so that people with limited mobility can use the attraction.

Fragment of the ferris wheel

Tourists are allowed on the Ferris wheel from Sunday to Wednesday from 10:00 to 23:00, on Thursday from 14:00 to 23:00, and on Saturdays and Fridays from 10:00 to 24:00. Tickets cost (2018) from 200 to 350 rubles for adults and from 100 to 200 rubles for children 6-12 years old. Kids under 5 years old are free for a ride.

How to get there

The Ferris wheel is located at 53, Kotoroslnaya Embankment, 4 km from the Yaroslavl-Moskovsky railway station.
